- So far, we've only worked with one material to decorate the front, back, edges, and sides of our text. In this movie, we're going to assign different materials to the various faces of our text. So I'm here in my chapter 2.5 project. And I'm going to select my text, the basic 3-D text we've been working with throughout the movies so far within this chapter. And under my text inspector, I'm going to scroll down like we've done before, actually to the materials section to where it says Single. Just to let you know that you're not forced to have just one material across your text. You can have multiple materials. So when I change this from single to multiple, we can actually affect multiple facets of our text. So we've got the front, the front edge, the side, the back edge, and the back. And right now, by default, when we hit single, everything was linked together.
