- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to take a look at creating smart collections inside of Final Cut Pro X. The first thing that we should note is how they differ from keyword collections. So in the first few movies, we created keyword collections to add an entire clip or a portion of a clip to. You'll see that we have a keyword collection here underneath our chocolate media event for B-roll. The big difference here is that when we apply a keyword to a clip or a portion of a clip, we could essentially give it any name that we want. Smart collections are smart and they take into consideration information that's already stamped on a clip, i.e. metadata. In fact, you may have noticed through an earlier movie that there's a smart collection folder and there's a level of organization with smart collections right away.
