- [Instructor] In this chapter, we're going to start to expand our knowledge of the Final Cut Pro X ecosystem by looking at a few other applications in the Pro applications family. Specifically the video apps. Now the first one on our tour is Compressor, which is really going to expand your export options inside of Final Cut Pro X and give you a ton more possibilities. So, the big question is why use Compressor? And the first thing I can tell you is it's tight integration with Final Cut Pro X. It really expands the export options and capabilities that you have available to you, as well as gives you access to Compressor presets right in FCPX. So, just by purchasing Compressor you get access to a ton of presets from Compressor without necessarily having to even make the trip over there. So, on top of this, you get a lot more export settings and customization than you had beforehand, such as the ability, of course, to export with a watermark from your system.
