- Before we dive into making our first movie, let's make sure we're on the same page with the software being used. Currently I'm using Final Cut Pro 10.4.7. You can find what version of Final Cut you're running by going to the Final Cut Pro menu and choosing About Final Cut Pro. If you are running a previous version, simply head to the App Store and download the newest version of Final Cut. If the new update isn't visible to you, it may be because you're on older version of the OS. Final Cut Pro 10.4.7 is supported by 10.14.6 and later. You'll want to update this to take advantage of the incredible new features and access the Final Cut Pro X library supplied.
