- Final Cut Pro X allows a few ways to delete content…from your timeline, either by keeping your project together…or by leaving a gap in place of the deleted clip.…Let's see how we can do this.…So I've got my 5.6 keyword collection open,…and I've double-clicked my project…to open it in the timeline.…I've got four clips in here,…and I'm going to remove a couple by deleting them.…The standard delete is extremely helpful in most situations.…All you have to do is select your clip and hit delete.…It's going to remove the clip from the timeline…and basically ripple everything that's over to the right…forward to not leave a gap.…
So I'll just show that by hitting delete.…You see the second clip is now deleted, and the third…and fourth clip have rippled down the timeline.…I'll just do a quick before,…and I'll shift, command, Z to do it after.…Cool, so we've deleted one clip from our project.…Now let's delete this second clip,…but this time I want to leave a gap in its place,…so all I have to do to do that is to use a modifier key…
