- If you are a premium Lynda member, you'll have access to download the exercise files. They'll contain a Final Cut Pro X library, various files we'll import, as well as After Effects and Motion projects. These downloads can be stored on your desktop, your documents folder, or even externally on a hard drive. To open the Final Cut Pro X library, in Final Cut go to File, Open Library, Other, and navigate to where you saved it. For the Motion and After Effects projects, you can double-click them when prompted in the exercises to have them open in their native application. If your lynda.com membership doesn't allow you to access the lesson files, don't worry. There is still a ton to learn even by following along with your own footage and trial versions of the various applications.
