Using Sidecar with Final Cut Pro X
- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to talk about using Sidecar with Final Cut Pro X. Now if you're wondering what is Sidecar, this is a feature of the Mac OS Catalina that allows you to turn your iPad into a secondary display. Now for Final Cut, this means you get to extend your workspace. Also you could even allow someone to preview an FCP X project while on the iPad if you extended your viewer. They just have to be within 10 meters of the actual computer that's transmitting Sidecar. Now there are a lot of requirement you should know about how to get this set up. It woks with certain iPads as well it works with certain Mac computers. Now considering all this, here are some Sidecar requirements that you should know of. One is on your Mac you must be on Catalina. On top of that, your Mac must be also be compatible to run Sidecar, meaning that it has to be above a certain year. The Apple support page is great to…
