- [Jeff] Welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly, I'm Jeff. - [Nick] And I'm Nick and I'm not here this week. - [Jeff] We're going to talk a little bit about uploading video to the web. Two major things I want to talk about. I want to talk about this idea of garbage in garbage out and just a little bit better Youtube settings by looking at Youtube's advanced encoding page. Then talk about the idea that you can publish to iCloud drive or something like Dropbox or Google Drive to guarantee a video quality for a client. So, garbage in, garbage out. Anything that you output from final cut that goes to Youtube, goes to Vimeo, automatically is going to get recompressed. What we probably would like to do is check that file before we upload it. If that file is crunchy there, I guarantee you, it'll be crunchy at Youtube. What I like to do is I like to improve on apple's settings a little bit. Give it a little bit higher of a data rate.
