- [Jeff] This is Final Cut Pro X Weekly. I'm Jeff, no Nick this week. I'm gonna talk a little bit about USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 and you. This is kind of the future as far as Apple systems go. I'm gonna talk a little bit about dongle-itis, USB-C differentiating from Thunderbolt, and of course, big complaint MagSafe, about buying, especially for the laptops. When the 2015 MacBook Pros came out, and Apple removed a whole bunch of ports, and just replaced it with a single port, Drew Brenning made this sort of observation that Apples fastest growing product category happens to be dongles, that this could be your future, just about how many items you'd have to carry around. It's three years later, and I don't feel this is as valid of an argument. I just purchased a brand new MacBook Pro, and one of the first things I bought was, for about $40, this USB-C hub.
