- [Nick] Hi welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly. I'm Nick, and Jeff's not here this week. We're going to talk about two workflow tips for 5.7K footage. Some of the key concepts we're going to be covering are, taking advantage of the images size, and do you really want to edit with native 5.7K footage? This footage is very large in size and depending on how you capture this material, can take up a lot of space, so in order to combat that, we're going to find out how we can take advantage of this by working with proxy files. Let's go into Final Cut Pro X and see the footage I have available to show you. Now I'm here inside of Final Cut and this footage was shot with a Panasonic EVA1 using a atomos to capture this at 5.7K using Apple ProRes' camera RAW, if we select any of these clips, and we head over to the inspector, if you go over to the info tab you'll be able to see the massive size of this clip, as well as its frame rate.
