In this week's episode Jeff talks about how to make a face look right by tweaking flesh tones in FCP X with the help of the Vectorscope and masking.
- [Instructor] Welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly.…This is Jeff Greenberg, and I'm gonna be talking this week…about tweaking fleshtones.…It's about making faces look right.…Pretty much, a client will give you a shout…if they're unhappy with the way somebody's face looks.…So here's what we're gonna look at.…We're gonna look at a special line on the vectorscope…and using the vectorscope…to help us narrow in what we're doing.…Then, just to help you visualize it,…I'm gonna use a mask on the scope.…We're gonna build it as a preset,…and of course, your eyes still count.…If it doesn't look good to your eyes,…it might be your monitor.…
But you just might be unhappy with the image.…So let's take a look here inside of Final Cut X.…I'm going to hide my browser.…I'm going to need a lot of my inspector here.…I'm also gonna need scopes.…And for the scopes, that's a command + 7,…and its default is to give me a waveform.…I'm gonna go ahead here and right-click…and change it to a vectorscope.…Now a vectorscope measures a vector of color,…
