- Trimming is an intricate part of the editing process and will help you refine your story. In this movie, we'll explore some of the main tools and options involved in the trimming process. So, there are a number of ways to trim in Final Cut Pro X. To make sure that we're trimming together, I'm going to switch over from my Position tool back to the Selection tool. I have, in my timeline, Shot 701. And I just want to play you the in and out point decision that I made earlier and saved as a favorite. So, I'll press the Slash key with this clip selected in the timeline to play from in to out. - And, back here, we have the workhorses of a ceramic studio.
