- [Jeff] Welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly. This is Jeff, no Nick. Three hidden compressor tweaks. I'm gonna show you how to work faster. Three things I'm gonna do, I'm gonna enable all my Compressor cores, I'm gonna talk a little bit about one-pass versus two-pass VBR, and last I'm gonna show you if you have more than one system how to set up a Compressor network group. First item out of the gate, for most of our systems Compressor is built by default not to use your whole system. It's meant to give you a good user experience but not tie up your machine. Now, it is specific to your Macintosh. And what I mean by that is, is that, if you've got a Mac Pro or if you've got one of the new iMac Pros and you have a lot of cores, this'll be accessible to you. If you're on an older system, this won't. I'm going to go to Compressor and choose the preferences in Compressor. And the preferences here have a button called Advanced. And under Advanced is Enable Additional Compressor Instances. I'm…
