- [Jeff] Welcome to Final Cut Pro 10 Weekly. I'm Jeff, Nick's not here. We're going to talk about stencil and silhouette, those weird blend modes that you've never used. We're going to talk about how stencil carves out or silhouette punches through giving background image, and then I'm going to take a look at how the Alpha and Luma choices affect the way they work. They're pretty similar. So here I've got a timeline built. And by the way, these are all generators found under Final Cut Pro 10's generators if you haven't seen them. And I've written a title here called stencil. On the stencil title, I'm going to use this transfer mode here. Instead of normal, instead of these that darken, these that brighten, these that are working in between, I'm going to use here stencil.
