Stabilizing a clip
- In your workflow, you may deal with shaky footage on a constant basis. Final Cut Pro 10, allows us to analyze a shaky clip. After it provides us with a stabilization solution that we can tweak in the Video tab of the inspector. So, so far we've been focused on speed in this chapter, and that makes sense because speed is pretty much what this chapter is called. But we're going to talk about image stabilization. And the reason for that is that there's a similar method being employed underneath the hood of this system for optical flow and when we talk about image stabilization. So, I'm just going to play back this clip in my Chapter 4.7 project. And you'll see that there's just a little bit of camera shake. I would like to smooth it out so that we don't see the jitter. I've pressed Command L to loop the playback of the clip so that you guys can see this. Now, in terms of stabilizing this clip, what we want to do is go to the inspector. I press Command four.
