Speeding up and slowing down a clip
- So in the last movie, we really got to see some of the re-time time options that are available within Final Cut, and in this movie we're actually speed up and slow down, this lovely shot that we have here on our timeline. So here my chapter 4:2 project, I'm going to be "C" to select my shot and I'm then going to go to the re-time editor and choose a fast preset option. So once I choose fast two times, my clip plays at 200% speed. And if I select the clip, and then just press the question mark key to play back, you can notice that has definitely sped up in terms of it's pace. Now, it's looping playback because I have loop playback enabled, that's command "L" on your mac, just in case you want to put that on, so that you can preview this. Now, I'm going to select this clip, the one on my timeline. Press command "C", move my playhead just to the end of the clip and then press command "V" to paste the same clip over here to the side.
