- Hi welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly. I'm Nick, and Jeff's not here this week. We're gonna talk about smarter effect workflows. Some of the key concepts we're covering are, choosing a favorite effect, pasting Attributes versus Compound Clips as a way of either pasting the effects you've added on to another clip, or making universal effects with a Compound Clip. And also the last thing, which the idea that everything comes from motion. And to keep in mind, how motion can be an extension of your effect workflow. Let's hop inside a final cut. So there a couple things to keep in mind when I talk about favorite effects. So there are effect defaults, for effects, transitions and titles. If you head to the Edit menu, let's take a look at a few of them. One is, that you can see here, a Cross Dissolve, is added when you press command T. Color Wheels is applied, in my case, when you press option E, and you can see here that there is also a Connect Title effect, which adds a basic title and…
