Sending a Final Cut Pro X project to Resolve

- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to take a look at sending a Final Cut Pro X project over to da Vinci Resolve for further color correction. Now I'm here in my chapter 6.4 project that you can find in your chapter six folder of the project's events if you're following along. And I just want to note a couple things about this project. Number one, a few of these clips have been scaled up. In fact, if I select this second clip and look at the video inspector, notice it's been scaled up to 165%. Its position has been changed, it's got two color correction effects on here. And there's a few other clips that are scaled up but also one has been sped up, so you can see here that there's been a speed effect of 171% applied to this clip here. What we want to pay attention to is when we send this over, this project to da Vinci Resolve, what retains and what doesn't? So let's go into the file menu and let's choose to export an XML.
