SRT caption support and burn-in

- [Instructor] Expanding on the closed caption features that Final Cut Pro introduced in 10.4.1, in the latest version of Final Cut Pro X we now see support for SRT files, as well as being able to burn our captions into our video footage. So just like any other captions that we might bring into Final Cut, to bring in SRT captions we can go to the File menu, can choose Import, and go into Captions. SRT is a very used format in terms of captioning, and I can find an example of this here under my desktop in the FCP10 SRT example folder. I'll grab these captions, you'll see here that's going to import as a role SRT, and use these as English captions because they are, and I'll select the insertion time to be relative to timeline. Once I choose Import, then actually bring them into my open project and I can see that the captions have been placed accordingly at the right times, and, like we've seen before, we can always select a caption, and inside our inspector make changes to them if…
