- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to take a little at performing a roll edit. And, unlike some of the trimming operations that we've done so far with the default selection tool, predominately rippling the edit points here in our project, we've always lengthened our project length or shortened it based on how many frames we trimmed off or added to a clip. This is our first refinement edit tool which allows us to still trim clips, but without affecting the length of the project. So if you're ever left with a situation where you have a commercial, or have to adhere to a very specific length, this is one of the first trim tools that allows you to still trim without affecting the length of the project and you can adhere to the length of project that you need to meet.
