Ripple and top and tail trimming

- [Narrator] In this movie we're going to look at two types of edits. One where we kind of already explored, which is your ripple edit. It's built in to the default Selection tool. We are also going to explore something called top and tail trim. Another way of removing unwanted content from the top and tail of our clips. Remember we started creating markers in the last movie by pressing the M key or Option + M to add a marker and also to open up the dialog box. But in this movie we're going to use these markers as guides to where we need to trim. So lets go into the timeline index and you want to head into your tags and these are all to do markers. What I like you to do is move to the third marker in the timeline. As you can see it's listed, if I have her over at remove the top of this clip. So one way of trimming in Final Cut in removing this unwanted material and by the way there is some repeated dialog here. I'll just play this back to you. - Joe. (man laughing) Joe. - [Narrator]…
