Reversing a clip

- In many situations, you might want to reverse the direction your clip plays in. This could be to change a camera zoom in to a zoom out or switch a pan that moves from left to right across a subject to move from right to left instead. Let's reverse the direction of a few clips using our re-time editor. So we're here in our chapter four three projects and this is going to be all about reversing the direction of a clip, which happens to be a option under the re-time menu. So here I have a lovely time lapse of some northern lights that I filmed in Chumsa, Norway. Just going to press the question mark key after selecting the clip so that you can see the motion in the shot, and it has a built-in sort of movement effect with a slider that I had available while I was filming on location. So what I'd like to do with the clip selected is actually head to the re-time options, and just to show you that in Final Cut it's extremely easy to reverse the direction of the clip.
