Nuances of replacing clips
- [Josh Olenslager] Making changes, working with a producer and replacing clips of your timeline is a really important capability. Let's take a look at Final Cut's little nuances on its replace/edit feature. To talk about replacing clips, I'm going to go back into my library here, and I'm going to take that first project that we started with, that original one. I'm just going to duplicate it, that's a command-D, duplicate, and I'm going to call this replace edits. And then I want to talk about a real world scenario as I double click. So we've got a much more full-featured timeline, and I'm just going to come here to the right and I'm going to make the clips a little bit smaller for my screen. That's a little bit better. I'm also going to give just a little bit more audio information there. There you go, let's make them even a little bit smaller. I'll hit a shift-z so I can see everything. I have this extra clip here on the end which I don't need. I'm going to delete it. There we go…
