- [Tutor] In this movie we're going to take a look at creating variable speed changes across the length of our clip. So I'm here in my chapter six underscore seven project. You can find this in your projects event area of the FCP 10 essential library that was supplied, if you have access to the exercise files. I'm just going to playback the one clip that's here in the timeline by pressing the question mark key. Of this great shot here of a catcher. And I'd like to change the speed throughout this clip. And the way that we can accomplish this is by blading the speed. Let's talk about what we're going to do first. We'll have this part playback at regular speed. And when the camera starts to pan up to the catcher's eyes we will play that back in fast motion. And then when he does the movement of his hand here to actually catch the ball, we're going to play that back in slow motion.
