The Inspector in Final Cut Pro X is a powerful piece of the software. It allows you to look at the information of anything that your mouse touches, and this includes a clip’s metadata. In this video, learn about using the Inspector and its importance in Final Cut Pro X.
- [Narrator] No matter what element…you're touching in Final Cut 10,…the inspector is where you're going to learn to live.…Let's see how.…- [Instructor] The inspector found here in the top right…is probably the most important pane in Final Cut 10…outside of the common editorial pieces.…And that's because whatever I touch,…whether it's a clip on the timeline,…a project,…or the library itself,…it changes based on what I'm touching.…It's command four to open and close that.…
And I'm going to just go ahead here…and I'm going to select a clip.…I'll choose one of my machine clips here.…When I'm clicking on it it's a source element.…You'll see I have these different icons on the inspector.…And there's not much I'm doing here on the video icon,…although I can change its spatial conform.…I'm just going to hit show.…You can see how it's conforming based on…if it was oversized or it had a strange aspect ratio.…I have my audio for it.…You'll see at the top it's got sort of enhancements like…whether or not you want to pan it…
