Introduction to writing on shapes and text in video
- Hi, everyone. It's Ashley Kennedy back with another installment of Video Post Tips Weekly, the post-production tutorial series from Lynda.com. And this week's topic is Painting Your Video Image: Exploring Write-On Effects. Digital painting is certainly nothing new, but it's not a very common technique in video editing. However, if you need to write-on any shapes or text, like for titles or maps or graphic sequences, there are some basic solutions available. And because video is a time-based medium, you can control how quickly you paint, and also you have access to a variety of other parameters and controls to make the animation occur exactly how you like. So, in this chapter we're going to take a look at the basic ways that you can write-on shapes and texts on your video frame in both Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer.
