Introduction to clip linking and unlinking strategies
- Hi everyone. It Ashley Kennedy back with another installment of Video Post Tips Weekly. The Post-Production Tutorial Series from Lynda.com. This weeks topic is Stuck Together Exploring Clip Linking and Unlinking. Now when editing, it's often very useful to have clips interact as a married pair. That is for video and audio that originate from the same source to be selected and edited as one unit. It's also useful to be able to separate them. Depending on what you're doing, sometimes it's useful to be able to globally enable or disable linking behaviors. While other times, it's useful to temporarily turn linking on and off. Sometimes, you want to link or group material from totally different sources together. There are many scenarios and just as many different solutions. This week, we'll take a look at Clip Linking and Unlinking strategies in Adobe Premier Pro and Final Cut Pro 10.
