Before you begin to edit together your project, you will need to import your files into Final Cut Pro. In this video, author Nick Harauz walks you through some of the import options available and shows you how to use the folders and tags as a jump-start into how your files will be organized within Final Cut Pro X.
- In this movie, we're going to explore…some of the import options available to us…and how we can use the folders and tags we added earlier…to give us a jumpstart into how our files…will be organized within Final Cut Pro X.…Okay, so in the last movie,…we created a Final Cut library called A World of Stories.…We also created a event called Media.…Now, it's time to populate our Media event with media.…So I want to select the event.…This is just a way of targeting it…to make sure the media goes there…and let's click on this big bright button…called Import Media from a Device, Camera or Archive.…
You can see that little thumbnail that comes up or tool tip.…I'm going to click and you can see here…that the Media Import browser is displayed.…Now, all of my media is on the desktop.…You want to navigate to where the media is for this project…and we're going to dive in…to the FCPX Creating a Web Video with Graphics folder…then we're going to dive in to the Media folder.…Now, we're going to bring in only some of these folders,…
