Fixing white balance
- Final Cut Pro 10 allows us a few ways to fix the color cast on image. There's an automatic way with the help of analyzing a clip and a manual way by referencing video scopes and using our eyes. Let's see how we can fix white balance on a few shots in this project. So here I am in my Chapter 2.1 project, which you can find in your Chapter 2 folder under your Projects events. I double-clicked it to open in the timeline. I've got two shots, and just by looking at them and grading images for a while I can tell that they need a little bit of a correction, 'cause they have a color cast on them. The first shot that we're going to do is actually we're going to try to do basically an automatic-based correction that Final Cut allows us to. If I press C, I'm able to select that clip in the timeline, and what we're looking to do is find the magic wand menu. The magic wand menu is under the viewer.
