I'm Jeff; Nick's not here. We're going to talk about Final Cut 10 system performance and kind of get an idea of when you should upgrade. We're going to take a look here at how Final Cut's performing, and we're going to talk about maximizing its performance, with just little caveat, is your Mac too old? The best way I can think of to find out about how well is your Mac performing is to actually open up I'd like you to see also memory, and on memory, I'm always wondering how much memory pressure. If this is ever towards yellow or red, you're probably exceeding the amount of memory that your system has. You need more memory. When you don't have enough memory, what happens is it swaps to the hard drives, in our case, mostly SSDs and swaps back. That's how programs switch in and out of memory, and the more memory you have, the more physical SSD space you need.
