Join Nick Harauz for an in-depth discussion in this video Eyedroppers in Curves, part of Final Cut Pro X Weekly.
- [Narrator] This is Final Cut Pro 10 Weekly.…I'm Jeff, Nick's not here.…This is part of the 10.4 update.…I want to talk specifically about eyedroppers…in the Curve effect.…And this is basically the idea that you…get easier targeting of adjustments when you use the curves.…If you haven't noticed, in the 10.4,…all the curves now suddenly have eyedroppers.…And that means practically,…it becomes a lot easier to go ahead…and make a selection and I want to start that off…by taking a look at the Luma and expanding the range.…
So, I'm on this shot and I'm going…to go to the Color panel…and you can see Luma.…My struggle with this woman's face here,…is that it's just fairly dark.…I know there's detail there…and I just want to see if I can get to it.…Now I could sit back and add points…and try pulling them up and down.…I'm just going to reset that.…But instead here, and let's make this…a little bit skinnier,…here we go, let's get a little bit more space off,…so let's hide our browser.…
There we go, that's a lot better.…I'm going to use this eyedropper…
