Exporting for vertical and square video
- In this movie, we're going to take a look at how we can save our existing 1280x720 project in a vertical or square format, which are typical for social media. I have my 13_10 project in front of me from the Chapter 13 keyboard collection. And what I want to do is right-click or control-click, this project and choose to Duplicate the Project As. Once I do, I'm going to name this for a Vertical format. I'm going to call it 9x16. I'll get rid of the 1 at the end And under Format, I'm going to choose Vertical. There's also this additional option called Smart Conform in Final Cut Pro 10.4.9. And, it's best to see what it does, first of all, by not having it on. So I'm going to choose, OK. And I want you to note that this project was created, rather quickly, in that vertical format setting. And if I take a close look at it, all of my clips are in that format, but not scaled for this format. What I now need to do, is go…
