There will be times when you are waiting on final graphics to arrive and need to show your client a rough cut or you need to know the timing of it. Can you add placeholders for your graphics in Final Cut Pro X? Author Nick Harauz walks you through how you can add placeholders so that you can get a general sense of the timing of our video.
- So since we're still waiting…for the graphics to be completed,…in the meantime, we can actually add placeholders…so we can get a general sense for the timing of our video.…So, if you're just tuning in,…I've just created a keyword collection called 2.5…with our project.…I've double clicked it and opened it in the timeline,…and you'll see that since the last movie,…I've added a ton of B-roll.…I've actually taken various B-roll segments…that were connected above the primary story line.…I've placed them into story line.…So that was just simply me selecting those,…going to the clip menu,…and choosing create story line.…
Just makes it a lot easier for me…to rearrange the B-roll footage, if I need to.…As well as trim it, but keep everything together.…So that's where we left off from with the last movie.…But in this movie, what we're going to do is focus…on adding some placeholders to…the beginning and end of our piece.…So let me present you with a situation.…And the situation is you're waiting for a 10 second graphic…
