Besides being able to call up existing role assignments in the timeline in Apple Final Cut Pro X, you can also reassign clips to roles, create new roles, and even subroles. In this video, join Nick Harauz as he demonstrates how to create additional roles and even create subroles in the timeline in Final Cut Pro X.
- Besides being able to call up existing role assignments…in the timeline, we can reassign clips to roles,…create new roles, and even sub-roles.…Let's see how we can set this up in the timeline.…So you want to find your Chapter 5.6 project…in your Chapter 5 folder under your project's events,…and we're going to take a look at creating…additional video and audio roles in…The Final Cut Pro 10 timeline, and we do that…in the same place where we're able…to view roles, which is to go to the timeline index…and then go to the Roles tab.…
Here you can see the existing roles…for titles, for video, and for our audio,…and if we need to add additional roles,…we simply go to the Edit Roles menu.…So what I'd like to do is, first of all, add…some additional video roles.…I want to go here to Edit Roles…and under Video Roles here, very similar to…what we did from the Modify menu,…I'm going to choose to add an additional video role,…and that video role is going to be Hotel,…and I going to add another video role,…which I'm going to call Cafe.…
