Creating a New Project and Event

- In this movie, we'll explore using shortcuts to create an additional event within it to import clips and then create a project where we will eventually put together a rough cut for our client. So you can see here, over to the left-hand side, I have my library, my KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS library, selected. And I have this targeted cause this is where I want a new event to reside. Now I'll just show you where this is under the File menu first, so you know. Under the File, New, Event. We can see here that the shortcut key is, in fact, Option N will create a new event, and because I have that library selected, it will create it within the library. So I'm just going to actually just use the keyboard shorcut. I'm going to hit Option N, and you can see right away that an event name is being ready to be renamed, it has today's date on it, but I can also see that it is going to be saved to the library that I had selected, which is KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS.
