- [Instructor] Welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly. This is Jeff, Nick's not here. A bunch of my friends have clued me into taking a look at Command Post. It's this 3rd party hack that's been growing for the last year or two, it's this 3rd party hack sort of installs as a menu on top of Final Cut X. And having used it I almost can't imagine working without it anymore. You can find it at https://commandpost.io/. And it creates its own menu giving you a ton of extras for Final Cut X. Here's what the menu looks like. You'll notice it's broken up into sections such as the Final Cut Pro, that it can automatically open up parts of Final Cut for you including Final Cut itself. It can throw common switches for media import into timeline. It's all this stuff is worth exploring, I just wanna show you a couple and encourage you to use this free utility with the said caveat that it's not necessarily endorsed by Apple and a new version of Final Cut might break its compatibility.
