When adding effects to clips in Apple Final Cut Pro X, a lot of the time you will want to customize its parameters and preview the before and after results along the way. In this video, Nick Haruaz takes you to the Inspector and demonstrates how to make a few changes to the effects that have been applied to some clips.
- [Instructor] So I'm here in my Chapter 5.3 project.…We have previewed some of the effects…without an effectual clip in the last few movies.…Now it's all about the various ways…that we can adjust the parameters…that might come with a given effect.…So let's apply an effect onto this clip…in the Chapter 5.3 project.…I'm going to press Command 5,…that's going to load up the Effects Browser.…I'm going to head to my Blur category.…So I'm already there,…as in I planned out this exercise,…but under the Blur category,…I'm going to go skim over the Focus effect,…I'm really liking this kind of shallow…depth of field effect,…keeping the city of Toronto in place…but there being a lot of things out of focus…besides the cityscape.…
So I'm just going to go to the Focus effect…and just drag it onto the clip here in the timeline,…and to reveal all of the parameters that I can manipulate,…I'm going to press Command 4…to bring up the Inspector,…and I want to be on the Video Inspector.…So first thing that you should know…is that here is the effect,…
