- [Jeff] Welcome to Final Cut Pro X weekly. I'm Jeff. Nick nots here. And this is a brand new ten four breaking feature Better LUT Workflows. No third party effects needed. Prior to this you had to use a third party effect, but starting now in Final Cut 10.4 there are two different ways to apply LUTs. When you shoot flat you want to apply it as a camera or restorative LUT, and you do that in the Inspector, preferably with your raw footage. The other way to do it is on the timeline and maybe through an adjustment layer, but definitely through an effect called a "cover LUT effect". Lets see both of these happen. So here I am in Final Cut with a raw clip and you'll notice it looks pretty flat. It looks pretty dead. And it is. It was shot flat, and the ideas in post were going to use a lot to kind of restore the way it looks and normalizing it . And I'm going to go to my Inspector on this shot. And somewhere in the Final Cut 10 three you'd go here where it says "Basic" and you would…
