- [Instructor] So far in this course, we've taken a really large look at working with visuals inside of Final Cut Pro X. But I would argue that your sound is equally as important, and sometimes, people are even more sensitive to sounds that will be within your project versus the visuals that you show them. This beginning part of the chapter's all about some sound essentials that I hope you should know before hopping into Final Cut Pro X. And we're going to take a look at the difference between mono versus stereo versus surround sound, look at how interview/dialogue sound is recorded on set, which is really important because the projects that we've been working with, if you're following along with the exercise files, happen to be of an interview and a dialogue nature. So we want to see how those were recorded on set, as well as some sound tips in general for sound in Final Cut Pro X that we can take through the rest of the movies that we'll be exploring in this chapter.
