- [Jeff] Welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly. I'm Jeff Greenberg, Nick's not here this week. We're going to talk about the audio limiter, and how to use it to prevent yourself from ever really peaking on the meters. When we work in Final Cut Pro, we have had to be careful never to hit that zero mark on our meters. And, no matter what you do, even if it means distortion, we're going to sit back and we're going to add a limiter to what we do, to prevent Final Cut from ever flagging into the red. You technically could still have distorted audio, but by doing this, this at the very least, won't show you the red flags, and won't have somebody else flag your work. Along the way, we're also going to see how to use compound clips to apply to your entire timeline. So, here I am inside of Final Cut, and I'm going to just click here to bring up my meters.
