Keyword Collections are the gateway to further organization in Apple Final Cut Pro X. They help you find clips and assets faster based on words you give clips. The best part is you can give several assets multiple keywords. In this video, Nick Harauz walks you through how to apply keywords to part of a clip in Final Cut Pro X.
- So far we've applied keywords to the entire clip.…But by selecting a range on our clip…we can put a selection of it…inside the keyword collection.…This would be similar to creating sub-clips in other NLEs.…In the last movie, we applied key words…to out entire clip or stills or whatever we had selected.…In this movie, we're going to look at some footage…and we're going to apply keyword only…to part of the footage, not the entire clip.…So I'm going to head over to my footage event,…where I have a ton of clips.…
And inside the footage event I'm going to…go into list view, here we can see all…of our clips here in a list.…And I have some clips from "My Father in the Man in Black"…and I would like to add those to a keyword collection.…The clips that we're looking for…happens to be 112-76-3,…if you don't find that easily you can always just…type in the number 112 and you'll see here…that that clip 112 shows up.…So, I wanted to play back this clip…and just sort of make a selection from here.…
