- If you have clips you've recorded to a…tapeless format ,…they may be numbered in a way…you'll want to change to better recognize…the clip in Final Cut.…While you can switch the name of…any file in Final Cut Pro,…you could also automate custom names…to change a series of clips at once.…Sometimes you're going to get a bunch of clips…from a particular camera.…It could be a Canon camera.…It could be a Sony camera.…And the way that those clips are recorded,…the names might not make sense to you.…In fact all of these aerial clips,…which I did the search for IMG,…really doesn't tell me a lot of information…about these shots.…
What I'd like to do is rename them…based on one of several custom names…that ships with Final Cut Pro X.…So let me actually clear my search results.…And we'll just go to the Aerial folder…where we'll also find these IMG clips.…I want to select them all.…And they all get loaded, of course,…into the Info inspector.…As you can see there,…the 14 items are correctly selected.…And if I go to Apply Custom Name,…
