Adding clips to the timeline

- In this movie we'll explore two different ways to add clips to our Final Cut Pro 10 project by appending and inserting them into our timeline. So we create an HD 2398 project by dragging in an HD clip from our library and just placing it into the Final Cut Pro project that we created. Now to start assembling and bringing clips in. Now to start dragging additional clips into the timeline, we can do that in a few different ways. I'm currently here in my favorites smart collection and one way to start to assemble clips into your timeline would be to select one. And there's an option on the lower bar here next to index which is called append. What this will do, is will always add a clip after the last one that's in your timeline. So for instance if I click on append, notice regardless of where my play head is, the next clip is going in after the end of the previous one.
