- [Nick] Hi, welcome to Final Cut Pro X Weekly, I'm Nick and Jeff's not here this week. This week we're going to talk about 3D Text in Motion 5, and some of the differences in what you can do in Motion versus working with 3D text in Final Cut. Right away, we're going to jump into those differences, the Final Cut versus Motion differences. We're going to look at how we can work with light in Motion a little bit differently that we can't do in Final Cut. We're also going to look at custom textures. Let's dive in. I've got a little project open called 3D Text in Motion. And just to show a few of the things in Final Cut that I'm talking about, here in Final Cut timeline, I'm just going to press X to mark the first clip. I'm going to grab the basic 3D title, and just press Q to connect it to that clip, making sure that it matches the length of it. Here's that basic 3D text and it has an animation built in.
