Creating an image mirror in Diptic

- Diptic is an app that allows you to combine multiple images either in a scrapbook type of arrangement or as a mirrored image where the same photo is reflected with itself to create an interesting symmetrical composite. Image mirrors can be very satisfying on their own, and the fact that our brains are hardwired to appreciate symmetry no doubt has something to do with this, they're also quite useful to use as image elements in other composting projects and that's the approach that we'll be working with here. So I'm going to go out and show you the image that we're going to be working with here in Diptic. This is the original version of the photo, and I just want to discuss this, to share with you why I took this photo because it might seem to be pretty unremarkable, and actually it is pretty unremarkable as photographs go, but I saw this hedge along the sidewalk, and I noticed that there was this obvious curve to the way the hedge was and also the tree in the background there, and my…
