- Now before we jump in and put the iPhone 7 plus on this impact ring light and film our interview subject Hilary here I want to talk about a couple additional technical specifications about the iPhone 7 and 7 plus. On both the iPhone 7 and 7 plus the wide angle lens or the main lens on the iPhone 7 has an aperture of 1.8 and it's a 28 mm lens. On the iPhone 7 plus you actually have a second camera which means a second image sensor and a second lens and on that camera it's actually an aperture of 2.8 and a focal length of 56 mm. Also on the back of the camera itself we have a new flash. This is a quad LED which is going to give you a sort of better overall light output and more even light output and as Apple says it gives you a little bit more natural light output and so far in the couple days that I've had the 7 plus that has borne true.
