Using a breakout box
- We've talked about using hardware devices to capture video with a laptop. We did this before with green screen, and we've looked at really affordable devices that are around two to $300 that give you the ability to capture in, but if you're on set, you're going to need two directions. Right, Rob? - Yeah, that's right. So we previously talked about the way to capture live video into your laptop, but you're creating new files that live on your laptop drives or external drives. What we want to talk about now is kind of like a real time approach to making color manipulations, and to do that you're right. We need a way to get the signal in, but we also need a way to get the signal out to say an external monitor that you know, a DP, or EP or somebody is using on set to sort of judge those decisions.
