- So Rich, as we hinted to, UHD and true 4K are two different things in terms of frame size, but I'm thinking what are the actual numbers involved? - People kind of use these terms interchangeably and they think they mean one when they're actually referring to the other. True 4K is a frame size of 4,096 by 2,160, while UHD is 3,840 by 2,160, which is basically double the width and double the height of an HD signal. And that's fine. But you'll notice when we're talking about UHD no where in there were there 4,000 pixels. So most people just sort of round that up, they're talking about UHD, but they say 4K. But you see here the sizes really are different. - Yeah, that's well said, Rich. And UHD is also known by some different names, like 2,160 P, referring to the 2,160 lines of horizontal resolution. And as you said UHD is four times the resolution overall of 1,080 HD, or if you wanna put it in photography terms, it's about 8.3 megapixels. But the important thing to understand is that…
