- It's not uncommon that I find myself roaming the aisles at Lowe's or Home Depot, checking out what they might have in stock to make cool light modifiers or budget buster light sources. I've lit an entire feature before, just using bathroom light sconces and some LED light tape. And, when we're working with friends, they're often in need of cost-effective solutions. So, having some experience with this, I want to with you share some lighting options for when you're working with a tight budget. There's one great source that's totally free, the sun. Natural daylight. In fact the world is illuminated by many different sources that transmit, or reflect, the sun's light. The ground, the sky, the walls, windows, furniture, cars, people These all become sources or modifiers of light. Each has a reflective quality that will emit, or shape, the light that it's receiving, and produce a certain quality of light back to us.
