- [Instructor] One of my favorite new features in FileMaker 16 is a new tool that's available to us while we're in Layout Mode. If we go into Layout mode... we will see under the View menu that there's a new option here for the Layout Objects window. This is something that I've been waiting for for a long time, and I'm excited to be able to talk to you about it here. So first of all, let's talk about the problem that it solves. If we look at the layout that we have in the background, you'll see that I have a ton of different layout objects on here, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that in recent versions of FileMaker, we now have the ability to hide certain objects conditionally. So the methodology that's been born out of that is to layer all sorts of different objects on top of each other, and then conditionally hide them based on different values or circumstances, and it's a cool technique, and I'm a big fan of it.
